To Come and To Go Verbs

There are many different verbs that describe ways to come and to go in Levantine Arabic. Sometimes the verbs are interchangeable - for example, "فوت" and "دخل" can both be used to command someone to enter a place - while other verbs are more situation-specific. We've made a list of some of the most common to come and to go verbs in Levantine Arabic with examples of when and how to use them. Some have numerous meanings, but we will be focusing specifically on their arrival and departure meaning. Most of these can be found in The 101 Most Used Verbs in Spoken Arabic textbook. We recommend consulting that book for a full explanation of these verbs and their many definitions.
